INSPIRATION | long coats

Jedes Jahr im Winter zieht ein Mantel in den Kleiderschrank ein – mindestens. Und diese Saison, besser gesagt dieses Jahr, bin ich ganz verliebt in Midi bis Maxi-Länge. Bis zum Knie ist da nicht – ich meine mindestens von unterm Knie. Bis bodenlang. Nur was die Farbe angeht, weiß ich noch nicht so recht. Eigentlich suche ich ja schon länger nach einem grauen Mantel, aber rosa ist auch so schön! Und ein schwarzer wäre doch eigentlich auch mal wieder was – und sowieso: Dunkelrot!

Aber im Endeffekt wird der richtige Mantel mich finden

und nicht umgekehrt, so ist das immer.

Im ersten Moment kann es etwas schwierig wirken, lange Mäntel zu kombinieren, vor allem, wenn man nicht unbedingt jemand ist, der ständig in High Heels rumlaufen will, aber es ist gar nicht so schwer. Ich liebe die Kombination mit gerade oder ausgestellt geschnittener Anzughose und flachen Schuhen, entweder die Adidas – hat doch jetzt sowieso jeder – oder Boots. Richtig cool sind diese Mäntel aber auch für Layering, gerade im Winter, gerade diesen Winter gibt es richtig viele lange Strickkleider, überlange Pullover… So schwer ist es also gar nichts, selbst ohne High Heels – aber scrollt euch einfach durch.

Every year in winter a new coat moves in my closet – at least. And this season, better said this year I’ve totally got a crush in midi to maxi length. And I don’t mean coats to the knee, I’m talking about at least under the knee to floor length. I’m just not really sure about the colour. Actually I’m looking for a grey one, but I’d really like a dusky pink one… And it would be great to have a new black one – and of course: dark red!

But in the end the right coat will find me,
and not vice versa, it’s always that way.

At first sight it may appear complicated to combine such a long coat, especially if you’re not this type of girl wearing high heels all the time, or don’t wanting to do so, but it’s not that difficult. I really love the combination of straight or soft flared business pants and flats – maybe Adidas (it seems like everybody got a pair.?!), or boots. And I also like the layering, especially this winter there are so many long knit dresses and jumpers… So you can see, it’s really not that difficult, even without high heels.
