Zumindest, was unseren Geschmack betrifft.
in Wien.
We aren’t very
great in planning a vacation, this gets striking slowly. Even last year we
haven’t seen everything in Vienna because Casey had a heatstroke. Therefore we
wanted to go there again this year, to see the rest.
Originally we wanted to go by train from Zagreb to Vienna directly, this train would have driven before eight o’clock in the morning – in this respect it was good that we didn’t arrive in Zagreb, we could sleep well and drove to Vienna at half past eleven quite comfortably. This time, the passport was there – unnecessarily, but we will never forget it at home again when we are on vacation.
At two o’clock we arrived in the hotel, the InterCity Hotel near the „Westbahnhof“, which was nothing to speak of. The bath was great, but the rooms were very small. But the service was very good. After we put down our suitcases we’ve headed over to the „Naschmarkt“. One has to see this once. For us it was too much. Too much puffing of all sides. But: Ifo ne is hungry he certainly gets there replete.
We have used the TU to take pictures fort he outfit post, which is nearby. Honestly, we love this building, universities often offer the best location for pictures. At least what concerns our taste.
After the dinner (more here) we were in the Prater. Eden wanted to go there already last year, because of this we have considered to drive to Vienna again. It is also one of these „must-see-things“ in Vienna. Casey was there before with her school and we both are of the same opinion (probably because of the acrophobia, but I’m not quite sure): it isn’t our case.
Colorful, loud, high. Nope, we stay with black, white, gray and simple.
At the end one of the bullet points of the „one-has-to-do-this-once-in-life“ list is checked off: A Ferris Wheel ride. It was really beautiful primarily because it was dark and one has a breathtaking view of the city and the Prater. Simply beautiful, one feels like a small child, especially the view of the merry-go-round has appealed to us very much. And it wasn’t so bad with the acrophobia, thank God it was dark.
On Saturday weh ad breakfast just around the corner, shot an outfit and then we went back to Graz. Home Sweet Home, we were relieved, laundry washing, cuddle with Enrico and being able to watch Netflix. We like it to be on the run, but just as much as being at home. Primarily if the vacation is so exhausting and eventful, even if we were never gone quite correctly.
Have you ever been to Vienna? And do you like the colored, loud and overexcited at the fair or are you also handicapped by acrophobia?
