LISTEN | Fuel

Fuel ist eine Band, die ich durch das Computerspiel Need For Speed Underground - was übrigens das beste NFS war und auch bleiben wird - kennengelernt habe. Zwar nicht mit dem Lied Hemorrhage aber mit Quarter. Es ist auch ein sehr gutes Lied und passt perfekt zu diesem Spiel-Gefühl von NFS. Aber heute möchte ich euch dieses vorstellen.

Hemorrhage, ein Begriff der Medizin, welcher auf Deutsch so viel bedeutet wie "verbluten" - und genau das fühlen die Protagonisten des Liedes. Laut dem Sänger Brett Scallions dreht sich das Lied in der ersten Strophe um einen Mann, der seine Beziehung versaut hat, seine Freundin kommt aber trotz allem wieder zu ihm zurück. Es wird beschrieben, wie sich so eine Situation anfühlt. Die zweite Strophe dreht sich dann um die Freundin - auch wie sie sich fühlt.

Insgesamt haben Fuel einfach dieses gewisse Etwas. Diese Stimme, die Lieder, die Texte - ich kann es gar nicht beschreiben, ich mag diese Band einfach total gerne. Ihr kennt das bestimmt, wenn ihr einfach nicht in Worte fassen könnt, warum ihr etwas gut findet.

Fuel is a band which I have got to know by the computer game Need For Speed Underground - what was and will be, by the way, the best NFS of all time. Though not with the song Hemorrhage but with Quarter. It is also a very good song and fits perfectly to this feeling of playing NFS. But today I would like to introduce you this one.

Hemorrhage, a term of medicine which means something like "bleed to death" - and this is exactly how the protagonists of this song feel like. According to the singer Brett Scallions the first verse is about a man who has messed up his relationship but his girlfriend comes back to him again. It is described how such a situation feels. The second verse is about the girlfriend - also how she feels.

All together Fuel simply have that certain something. This voice, the songs, the lyrics - I can't describe at, but I simply like them. You know this if you can't say why you like something for sure.
