INSPIRATION | wide fit pants

Was Hosenstyles anbelangt, habe ich – und ich bin erst frische zwanzig – schon ziemlich viel mitgemacht. Als Kind war ich in engen Radlerhosen, knallbunt, sehr unvorteilhaft, und gerade geschnittenen Jeans unterwegs, im Volksschulalter wechselte ich zu ausgestellten Jeans, den sogenannten Glockenhosen, die ja zurzeit ihr großes Seventies-Comeback feiern, und ab der Unterstufe habe ich eigentlich ausschließlich in Röhrenjeans getragen.

Eine eigenartige Reise, die nicht unbedingt „Fashionverständnis“ beweist – aber das war in meiner Kindheit auch noch kein Thema. Wirklich nicht.

Wie auch immer, ich mag Röhrenjeans noch immer, sehr sogar, aber gerade wo der Sommer vor der Tür steht, verliebe ich mich in weit geschnittene Hosen. Die vermitteln mir einfach ein leichtes Gefühl, und es gibt nichts Schöneres, als eine weite Hose bei dreißig Grad im Schatten. Kennt ihr das, wenn ein leichter Wind weht, und die Hose eure Beine locker umspielt? So erfrischend.

Außerdem gibt es so viele verschiedenen Ausführungen, von kurz bis lang ist alles drin – und somit sowohl für Freizeit, Party, Dinner, Business-Meeting und Shopping-Tour geeignet. Das ist die Art Kleidung, die ich einfach liebe. Denn damit kann man wirklich spielen, mit einem Kleidungsstück in fünf verschiedene Stilrichtungen gehen und zwanzig verschiedene Aussagen treffen. Das ist das, was Mode für mich ausmacht.

Concerning pants style I’ve already – and I’m fresh twenty now! – made some experiences. When I was a child I lived in tight cycling shorts, colourful, very unflattering, and straight tailored jeans, when I was at elementary school age I switched to flared jeans, the so-called bell-bottomed pants, which celebrate their seventies revival now, and from lower grade to now I’ve been wearing drainpipe jeans.

A weird travel, which not really proves an “understanding for fashion” – but that wasn’t important in my childhood. Honestly, it wasn’t.

However, I do really like drainpipe jeans, but now, when summer is almost here, I’m getting a crush on wide fit pants. They convey such a light feeling to me, and there’s nothing more beautiful than wide pants thirty degrees in the shade. Do you know that feeling, a soft wind is in the air, and your pants swirls around your legs? That’s so refreshing.

Besides there are so many different styles, from short to long – everything is possible, and so you are perfectly dressed for leisure time, party, dinner, business meeting and shopping afternoon. That’s the kind of clothes I simply love. Because you can play with them, create five style direction with only one garment and make twenty different statements. That’s what makes fashion for me.
