Kennt ihr das Spiel "Song Quiz"? Man hört sich ca. 10-20 Sekunden eines Liedes an und hat vier Auswahlmöglichkeiten, welches es sein könnte. Je nachdem ob es richtig oder falsch war, bekommt man Punkte und Coins, diese kann man dann dafür einsetzen weitere Playlists verschiedener Genres freizuschalten. Am Anfang stehen einem drei zur Verfügung: allesamt nur Pop. Vor kurzem habe ich dann endlich den vierten Stern in der Metal-Playlist geschafft und neue Lieder dazubekommen. Darunter war auch Her Bones In The Sand von Bury Tomorrow. Diese zehn Sekunden haben aber einen bleibenden Eindruck hinterlassen.
Davor habe ich schon viel von der Band gehört, jedoch mich nie damit beschäftigt, weil.. keine Ahnung eigentlich. Wahrscheinlich war ich einfach zu faul, wie so oft. Jedenfalls bereue ich es jetzt schon fast, weil sie echt der Hammer sind. Typisch Metal mit den Growls und den Clean Voices, aber ganz toll.
Da ich heute nicht wirklich in der Verfassung bin um klar denken zu können, hat Casey mit bei der Bedeutung des Liedes etwas auf die Sprünge geholfen. Zum einen könnte man es so sehen, dass die Ex-Freundin des Protagonisten sich umgebracht hat und er einfach die Zeichen übersehen hat und jetzt darauf kommt. Oder, dass sie ihn verlassen hat und die "Knochen im Sand" nur als Metapher für ihre zerbrochene Beziehung stehen.
Aber wie immer heißt es an dieser Stelle: Findet eine eigene Bedeutung für euch ganz persönlich.

At first you can play with three different playlists: all of them are pop-music. I have recently got the four stars in the Metal-playlist and got some new songs for this purpose. Her Bones In The Sand by Bury Tomorrow was one of it. However, this ten seconds have left a lasting impression.
I already have heard much of the band, but I never dealt with them closer because.. no idea, really. I was probably simply too lazy like so often. At all events I am already almost regretting it now because the are really good! Typical metalcore with the growls and the clean voice but quite terrific.
Since today I am not really in the constitution to be able to think clearly, Casey has helped me with the meaning of the song. On the one hand one could see it like that the former friend of the protagonist has killed herself and he simply overlooked the signs and realizes that now. Or that she has left him and the "bones in the sand" stands for their broken relationship.
But what it always means in this place: Find your own sense in this song.
