Element Eighty ist eine Band, die ich eigentlich nur durch dieses Lied kenne. Ich kenne nicht mal ein zweites und ganz ehrlich? Ich hatte auch noch nie das Bedürfnis dazu ein anderes anzuhören, aber das Lied geht mir einfach nicht aus dem Kopf und schon so viele Jahre lang. Es hat einfach was.
Kennt ihr das? Ihr hört irgendwo mal ein Lied und es lässt euch nicht mehr los. Ist doch positiv, aber irgendwie seltsam, wenn man nicht einmal mehr bewusst weiß, woher man es kennt.
Aber kommen wir zum Lied an sich. Es überzeugt durch starke Breakdowns und gute Riffs. Die Stimme des Sängers gefällt mir auch gut. Auch der Text ist überzeugend, denn wer kennt keine leeren Versprechen und wie es sich anfühlt? Richtig, nicht gerade gut und genau das verarbeitet der Sänger hier.
Das Lustigste ist aber, dass man über diese Band so gut wie gar nichts herausfindet. Ein paar Sachen auf Wikipedia, aber nicht wirklich interessante Infos.Im Endeffekt wird nur beschrieben, wie oft sie sich getrennt und wiedervereinigt haben. Also kann ich euch eigentlich auch gar nicht viel erzählen. Manchmal aber muss man gewisse Dinge einfach los werden und in meinem Fall ist es das, dass ich dieses Lied echt gerne mag. Vielleicht weiß ja jemand von euch etwas über Element Eighty. Wenn ja, dann erzählt mir alles. Ich bin ein neugieriger Mensch.

Element Eighty is a band which I actually know only by this song. I don't even know a second one and to be honest? I never had the need to listen to another one, but this song simply doesn't get out of my head for so many years. It simply has the special something.
Do you know this? You listen to a song and it stays in your head. This is positively but somehow strange if one doesn't even consciously know from where one knows it.
But let's go to the song: It convinced me by strong breakdowns and good riffs. I also like the voice of the singer. The lyrics are also convincing because who doesn't know any empty promises and how it feels? Right, not very good and the singer describes it well and exactly.
However, the funniest thing is that one simply doesn't find almost anything about the band. A couple of things on Wikipedia but not really interesting informations. At the end of the day it's only described how often they have divided and reunited. Therefore I can't tell you much at all either. Sometimes one must simply get loose of some things and in my case it's the fact, that I like this song, however. Maybe someone of you does know something about Element Eighty. If you do, please tell me everything. I'm a curious person.
