Vielleicht kennt einer von euch ja die Band Alexisonfire. Ich mag sie sehr. Vor allem das Lied This Could Be Anywhere In The World mag ich besonders gerne. Es beschreibt ein sehr wichtiges Thema, das eigentlich überall präsent ist: Obdachlosigkeit.

Jeden Tag gehen wir an diesen Menschen vorbei, schenken ihnen keine Beachtung - sie sind unsichtbar für uns. Sicher, es gibt bestimmt genug Leute, die hin und wieder mal einen Euro in den Becher werfen, jedoch ist es meistens so, dass jeder von uns einfach vorbei geht. Wir werden ein Teil dieser Masse an Menschen, die an den Obdachlosen vorübergehen und froh sind, dass sie selbst ein Dach über dem Kopf haben. Wir verschließen die Augen. 

Und wie Alexisonfire schon so gut beschreibt: "There is no hope left for this souls.". Es macht mich so oft so traurig, dass diese Menschen einfach gar nie eine Chance haben werden und manchmal macht es mich richtig wütend. Vielleicht bemerkt ihr, dass mich dieses Lied ein bisschen zum Nachdenken bringt.

Jedenfalls, um wieder auf das Lied und die Band zurückzukommen: This Could Be Anywhere In The World ist 2005 rausgekommen. Das ist schon ewig her! Kennt ihr das, wenn ihr euch beim Hören denkt, dass das doch gerade erst rausgekommen ist? Manchmal fühle ich mich so alt - aber so geht es bestimmt jedem hin und wieder.

Hört euch das Lied unbedingt an. Sagt mir, ob ihr die Band auch so mögt, oder warum nicht. Auch Kommentare zum Thema Obdachlosigkeit würde ich nur zu gerne von euch lesen!

Aber das war es auch schon wieder von mir für heute. Ich kann euch leider nicht mehr erzählen, heute ist nicht mein Tag, aber ich hoffe, ich konnte euch wenigstens eine gute Band zeigen.

Maybe some of you know the band Alexisonfire. I like them. Primarily the song This Could Be Anywhere In The World. It describes such an important topic which is on the spot everywhere: homelessness.

Everyday we pass by these people, give them no attention - they are invisible for us. For certain there are many people who throw a euro into the cup now and then, but however, mostly it's like that that each of us simply goes by. We become a part of this mass of people who pass by the homeless persons and are glad that we have a roof over the head. We lock our eyes.

And like Alexisonfire already describes it so well: "There is no hope left for this souls.". So often it makes me sad that these people simply will never have a real chance and somtimes it makes me furious. Perhaps you noticed that this song made me thing a little bit.

At all events coming back to the song and the band: This Could Be Anywhere In The World came out in 2005. That's ages! Do you know this if you imagine when hearing a song that it just came out? Sometimes I feel so old - but certainly everyone feels like that now and then.
