Ich denke jeder, der einmal mit der Metalszene in Berührung gekommen ist (hört sich an als wäre sie böse) kennt A Day To Remember. Diese Band ist einfach so gut! Diese Breakdowns, Growls und Riffs sind der Wahnsinn. Ich mag es so sehr, dass alles in sich stimmig ist und alles irgendwie melodisch ist und schnell ins Ohr geht.

Das Lied I Am Made of Wax, Larry, What Are You Made Of? ist eines meiner Lieblingslieder von ihnen. Wusstet ihr, falls ihr die Band schon gekannt habt, dass der Titel eine Szene des Films "Nachts im Museum" zitiert? Generell ist das oft bei ihren Lieder der Fall.

Dieses kann man auf so viele Art und Weisen interpretieren. Ich denke, dass es darum geht, wie sehr eine Person eine andere beeinflussen kann. Das schließe ich vor allem aus dem Satz "You know I've got you like a puppet in the palm of my hand". Aber dann gibt es Leute die sagen, dass es Paranoia beschreibt oder den Zusammenbruch einer Beziehung - man schreibt dem Lied einfach so viel verschiedene Bedeutungen zu.

Aber wie schon einmal gesagt: Lieder lassen sich (fast) immer auf eine individuelle Situation beziehen. 

Ich für meinen Teil kann es einfach manchmal nicht mehr hören, wenn jemand immer jedes Lied auf eine Beziehung bezieht. Es passt leider einfach so oft, aber es ist so nervig. Ich glaube nämlich, dass sich viele nicht mit Liedern beschäftigen, sondern einfach einen Satz hören und denken "Ach, wie romantisch." Das sind dann die Leute, die bei der Hochzeit Because Of You von Kelly Clarkson spielen. Wow, ja. Wirklich romantisch. Das finde ich bei manchen Liedern wirklich schade, insbesondere, weil bei vielen einfach so viel mehr hinter dem Text steht.

Ich hoffe, ich konnte euch neues euch unbekanntes Lied zeigen oder euch zum Nachdenken anregen.

I think everybody who got in touch with the metal scene once (sounds like if it is a bad thing) knows A Day To Remember. This band is simply good. These breakdowns, growls and riffs are insane. I like it so much that everything is coherent and everything sounds so melodic and that one keep in in mind in a few seconds.

The song I Am Made of Wax, Larry, What Are You Made Of? is one of my favorite songs by them. Did you know that the title quotes a scene of the movie "Night at the Museum"? They do that often in general.

One can interpret this song in so many ways. I think that it is all about how a person can influence another. Primarily I infer this from the sentence "You know I've got you like a puppet in the palm of my hand". But then there are so many people who say that it's about paranoia - one simply can ascribe so many different meanings to the song.

But as I said before: Songs can (almost) always be related to an individual situation.

I simply can't listen anymore to people how always relate every song to a relationship. Unfortunately it matches perfectly so often. I think that many don't deal with songs but simply hear a sentence and then they're like "oh it's so romantic." These are the people who play Because Of You by Kelly Clarkson at their wedding. Wow.. oh yes. Really romantic! It's a pity because there is so much more behind the lyrics of a song. Not just a relationship.
