INHALT

CONTENT
Catherine Bayne must leave her hometown because she feels responsible for the harmful actions of her father, the former Earl. But she wants to see Martainn, her former love, again who has taken the seat of her father.
Actually she wants to remain unrecognized but as chance would have it she noticed an assassin who has foreseen it on Martainn and draws the attention onto him and also on her. To find the one who has planned the assassination attempt, chief Farell decides to smuggle her into the castle without getting recognized.
At her inquiries she must notice that something isn't correct at all. People disappear again and again or children arefound in houses bloodlessly - this makes her task even more difficult.

MY OPINION
Normally I don't like vampire books. After all this Twilight-Hype (I only read the first book) I didn't want to hear anything about it. Everybody was crazy about vampires because they are so beautiful, live forever and after all they glitter.

But let's be honest,.. lovely love story, but if it is about vampires I want blood and bloodbathes - okay this also happens in Twilight. Nevertheless this book is different.

The story which takes place in the 16th century by the way is simply unbelievable. The legend of the Ushana is interesting and altoghether, the characters seem credible.

I wanted to read this book for so long but the thought at it that it only is a senseless vampire story again, like the ten thousand and others dissuaded me from it. But you know, I forced myself to do it. I read the first pages in the train heading to Croatia and I was filled with enthusiasm and completely surprised. I swear, you can't stop if you have begun.

And because I liked it so much and it is such an engaging, this book definitely deserves the five hearts. Read it and you will know what I mean.
