Poets Of The Fall zählt mittlerweile zu meinen absoluten Lieblingsbands. Der Sänger Marko Saaresto hat eine unglaublich sanfte Stimme, die mir bei jedem Lied einfach Gänsehaut bereitet. Okay, er hat eine Musical-Ausbildung, aber, dass er wirklich talentiert ist, kann man nicht bestreiten. Er hat etwas ganz besonderes in der Stimme. Gut zu knuddeln ist er noch dazu auch noch, aber das tut jetzt irgendwie wenig zur Sache.

Das Lied Roses vom zweiten Album der Poeten behandelt das Thema - oh ja, wir konnten es kaum erwarten endlich wieder was darüber zu hören - Liebe. Ich finde es wirklich bemerkenswert, dass sich die sechs Finnen in so einem sorgfältig ausgewähltem Englisch ausdrücken können, das so viel vermittelt. Also ich meine damit, manche, deren Muttersprache Englisch ist, können nicht solche Texte zaubern. Diese Band gibt dir das Gefühl, - vor allem bei einem Konzert - dass du dazugehörst, zu ihnen, dass sie nur für dich spielen. Das ist echt toll.

Die Band ist, was mich ziemlich verwundert hat, anscheinend nicht sehr bekannt, insbesondere bei uns nicht, dafür aber in Russland. Deshalb rechnet man auch nicht damit, dass einem gerade dieses wundervolle Lied, in einem Kroatien-Urlaub begegnet. Vor zwei Jahren war ich, im Sommer, auf der Insel Rab auf dem Marktplatz etwas trinken. Aus allen Kaffeehäusern dröhnte laute Musik, aber dort wo ich saß war die Stimmung etwas ruhiger. Aber plötzlich wurde Roses gespielt und es wurde lauter gedreht. Ich war irritiert, denn damit hatte ich wirklich nicht gerechnet. In diesem Moment habe ich mich wahnsinnig darüber gefreut, dass ich nach langem ein bekanntes Lied höre und dann gleich ein so tolles.

Poets Of The Fall sind etwas ganz Besonderes. Die ganze Band an sich. Ich kann sie nur jedem empfehlen, denn sie vertreten definitiv nicht nur ein Genre. Ich freue mich schon unglaublich auf ihr nächstes Album, an dem sie im Moment arbeiten und es hoffentlich bald herausbringen, aber auch schon total auf das nächste Konzert von ihnen mit meiner lieben Casey.

Poets Of The Fall is now one of my most favorite bands. The singer Marko Saaresto has an unbelievable gently voice, which gives me goose bumps with every song. He has a musical-education, but he is also very talented. He has this special thing in his voice. And one can kuddle him very good, but that this doesn't matter somehow.

The song Roses from the second album of the poets deals with - oh yeah, we couldn't wait to hear something about it again - love. I think it's remarkable, that the six finnish people have such great English-skills so that they can write lyrics like these. I mean that some of the artists who has English as their native language can't write such amazing lyrics like POTF. They make you feel like - especially on a concert - you're a part of them, that the only play their songs for you. That's really fantastic.

The band isn't very famous - a fact that made me wonder. Particularly not in Austria, but in Russia they are well known. And because of that one doesn't expect to hear the wonderful song Roses in Croatia. Two years ago in summer I was on the island Rab on the market square. Every coffee-house played loud music, but in the one I was sitting it was more quiet but suddenly there was this song. Roses. I was confused because I didn't expect to hear it. In this moment I was very amused, to hear a known song and then such a beautiful one.

Poets Of The Fall are something special. The whole band. I only can recommend it to everybody, because they don't represent just one genre. I am looking forward to their next album on which they are working at the moment and also on their next concert with my wonderful Casey.
