Kennt ihr die Band Mudvayne? Das ist wieder eine dieser Bands, die ich total vergessen hätte, wenn mich nicht Caseys Bruder vor ungefähr einem Jahr gefragt hätte, ob ich sie mag.
Und ja, ich mag sie sehr, auch wenn das anfangs anders war. Als ich sie das erste Mal hörte, fand ich sie echt seltsam, was aber auch an den Musikvideos lag, immerhin sahen sie recht seltsam aus. Sie haben sich extrem geschminkt, um aus der Masse herauszustechen, waren für mich aber irgendwie ein Slipknot-Abklatsch - bis ich die Musik gehört habe: harte Riffs, gute Clean-Vocals, Screams and Growls.
Im Lied "Forget to Remember" geht es um Veränderungen bzw. wie eine Beziehung einen Menschen verändern kann. Hier ist es so, dass er zu einer rücksichtslosen, selbstsüchtigen, arroganten Person wird und sich nicht wiedererkennt. Er kann aber trotz allem nicht einfach so gehen und die Beziehung hinter sich lassen.
Kennt ihr solche Situationen? Wenn ihr euch verändert, es aber nicht mal bemerkt und nicht wisst warum eigentlich? Wenn ihr euch selbst irgendwo in dem ganzen Alltagsstress verliert und einfach nicht mehr ihr selbst seid aber auch nicht wisst wo ihr euch wiederfinden könnt?

Veröffentlicht: 2005Do you know the band Mudvayne? This is one of those bands which I would have forgotten if Caseys brother wouldn't ask me if I like them about one year ago.
And yes, I like them very much even if it wasn't like that at first. When I listened to them for the first time, I thought they're strange, what was because of the music videos and their strange looks. They put tons of make-up on to stand out of the mass, but for me they were a poor imatation of Slipknot until I listened to their music: hard riffs, good clean vocals, screams and growls.
The song "Forget to Remember" deals with changes or how a relationship can change someone. In this case it is like that that he becomes a ruthless, egoistic, arrogant person and doesn't recognize himself anymore. However, he can't go away and leave the relationship behind.
Do you know such situations? If you change and not notice it and don't know why? If you lose yourself because of the stress of the daily life and simply are not yourself anymore and you don't know where to find youself again?
Mudvayne sind eine echt tolle Band, ich mag sie auch sehr gerne. Schade nur, dass ich sie nie live sehen konnte, aber vielleicht wird es ja irgendwann mal noch was mit einem neuen Album. :)
